what is your high idle

I started my truck up yesterday in 20 degree weather and the truck seemed more unhappy then usual with the tempature. Usually my idle will jump to a little under 1.5 in normal temps and a little under 1.75 in cold temps. Yesterday it climbed over 1.75 and almost made it to 2. At this point the motor is sounding a little reved out so I turned it off and restarted it. It went back to the normal high idle just under 1.75. What are your guys\gals high idles? Is there a way to limit what the high idle will be on these OBDI computers? I under stand the whole warming up faster thing but 2K is a little too high for me on cold oil. Thanks.

Sounds exactly like mine. It has been that way in the cold weather since I've had it. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

My 5VZ runs just under 2K at initial start up. Not sure if that helps you or not...

I really wouldn't worry about it, it is completely computer controlled.
