What size rear shocks?

What size rear shocks?
I've been searching for the best shocks for a 2 1/2" lift on the rear of a taco, i'm liking bilsteins but can't find what length i need, can I just mesure the old ones and add 2 1/2"? or anyone know what size I need for 2 1/2" lift. or anyone know of a cheaper but still good option?
