What size lift to fit 285/75/16?

I want to lift my 1996 toyota 4runner limited to fit 285/75/16, what size of lift using cornfed spacers would I need...in the rear and in the front...is there anything else i would also need to make sure this lift is done right...i think i have choosen to go with cornfed spacers set up and I will be installing new shocks as my stock ones are shot...probably bilsteins. Your feedback would be appreciated, thank you.

You need at least 2" of lift to fit 285's. Then you'll probably have to do some pounding and trimming also.

Usually need a 1" or so body lift on top of the spacer lift to clear 285's:

I have 2.5" Cornfed spacers in front, no problems whatsoever. I have NWOR lift springs in back but stay-away from them. OME 906 rear coils will soon be replacing those. Bilsteins are good shocks but so far I prefer OME shocks.

soo jboy you have just a 2.5 lift and you clear 285's? I also am looking to lift my 99 4runner and was going with the daystar 2.5 spacers. Is there a better way to do that then spacers

I see people talking bout just putting new springs on? which is better?

I dont know enough bout the toyota in this aspect.
