I am wondering what are the probable causes when the "Maint" indicator permanently lights up.

It goes off to tell you that your due for an oil change. You only have 5K and that's when it starts flashing. Check your manual. It tells you how to reset the light. Good Luck!

The reason I am asking this is because I just make oil change at 3000 miles. So my next oil change will be approx. 6000miles.
What is your oil change frequency? Is it 3000 or 5000 miles?

 

Your manual tells you how to clear the Maint light.

But simple while in the Odomoter reading, press and hold the reset button while turning the vehicle on.

This should clear the maint light for another 5000miles.

 

Speaking of Oil Changes, mine is at 4400 miles Im gonna take it in today or tomorrow.

I know you have all asked this a million times. So just to the 4th gens - what oil & brand did you use? I will be going to the stealer most likely.

 

I religously change mine very 3K. Then again I only do 12-15K a year.

Those of you who are changing the oil every 3-5k any name brand oil and filter will do the job
