What plugs/wires do you have on your 3rd Gen T4R V6?
Going to do routine maint. and replace my plugs/wires. What are you guys using that you like?

NGK Blue wires....get them from www.sparkplugs.com ...very nice wires and pretty reasonable cost. I would get the Denso or NGK plugs also.

Another vote for the NGK blue wires and NGK plugs. Just switched mine this weekend and I noticed a difference. Of course, at 101K I don't think the PO ever changed them. The electrodes looked like skinny footballs when looking at the top of the plugs.

Another vote for the NGK wires and plugs, i've used them in the past on other vehicles, and they are awsome. I'm going to get some for the Tacoma very soon...

Dont all 3.4L reguire dual electrode plugs???
There is a picture on the valve cover too isn't there.... with a big "X" through a regulair plug.... could be wrong here....
Also, accodring to NGK... if your going to run a G power plug the gap is .044... not sure I would run them though.....

I prefer to run the OEM dual electrode plug myself.

DEPENDING on the model of the sparkplug, the 3rd gens can use either single or dual. The recommended Iridium model is only a single electrode.
Bosch are NOT recommended, per Bosch, on our type ignition systems aka waste spark ignition systems. Stick with NGK's or Denso's for reliability.
The NGK blue cables are lower resistance cables than the Denso factory cables, thus my choice of them.

damn i put in regular single electrode ngk's in my wifes' 01 sport this past summer, the rig drives very well.
only when i was just checking her fluids did i see the sticker that says to use the dual electrode ones.
since the truck performs normally, should i replace them with the dual electrode ones?
is there going to be any damage to the engine or other systems?
gas mileage and pickup is normal.
