What kind of tire?
OK, so I've sorted out the wheels. I'll be getting 15 X 7 wheels for the truck. It's a 1994 V6, 2WD. I don't go off-road for sport, just occasionally have to carry materials into a field. Said field won't be mud, it'll be hard packed dirt at worsts. The majority of driving is carrying light loads or no load at all, and some camping with just a shell, and mattress pad in the back.
With 15 X 7 wheels, it looks like the size that keeps the same rolling diameter as "stock" tires is 225/60-15. But the Tire Rack shows no truck tires in this size at all. Now, I have exactly this size on a large performance sedan, and went with some great, sticky, V-rated tires, but something tells me this is not the right choice fora truck!
What have others done? Anybody running "car" type tires and have good/bad stories as a result?
Thanks
Dave

it might look kind of silly with car tires on it
but you should be careful on the diameter so you dont mess with your ABS and odometer... but other than that, i dont see why they wouldnt work. you should be able to find some good tires that fit your wheels.
look at BFGoodrich, thats pretty popular choice.

Remember, this is a 2WD, not a 4WD, so my wheels are pretty darned ordinary car size at 15 X 7 inches. The size that fits them, and keeps the odometer reading right is 215/65-15 or possibly 225/60-15.
This is a 1994, so no ABS. No anything worthy of comment, actually, it's just a plain ole truck. I was upgrading the wheel size to try to get around the really awful handling and uncontrolled ride.
Thanks!
