optima and exide are the best quality and then the rest are pretty much the same, but with different labels.

AutoZone's DuraLast Gold. Best price for performance value out there. It has a great warranty for not a lot of dough.

I run a winch, lights, stereo amp, and other stuff and I will never buy anything other than Optima. I've had a red top for four years now and never had a problem. I'd buy an Optima even for a passenger car or if I wasn't running accessories, just because of reliability. IMO, Delco maintenance-free is the worst battery.

Hey miles! That's exactly what I'm gonna be doin over spring break, rewiring my whole rig...fog lights, driving lights, system and battery terminals. What all do you have goin on there? I will be upgrading my ground and hot terminals and then running to a distribution block, maybe an aux. fuse box but I haven't thought about it yet.

Miles is right, rewiring it is the way to go!

Chris, -->I havn't re-wired the charge wire or main positive yet because it is so small and such a pain in the kester but I have done some major gournd wire upgrades. I ran several just to be safe. The 4g one in the pic goes to the block and I have since added 3 other 8g that go to the body/frame. Mabe when I do a motor swap I will upgrade the rest of the wireing. The 4g red wire is for my amp.

Another vote for a red top Optima. The one in my truck is nearly 11 years old and still going. If/when it dies, I'll replace it w/ another red top.

miles,

Thanks man, I will probably end up doing it the same way over spring break...what all would I need, like where should I get the terminals and all that stuff, I can probably get the wire from like Lowe's or use car audio wire or something right?

So does the terminal that you have for the ground have different slots for several different wires, as in like I can use the same terminal connected directly to the - post on the battery and just run different wires from there or do I need another spot to run the wires from? Thanks man!

Another vote for Optima red. I use the Optima red 800u ($115-$135).
