Let's see, after I replaced my torsion bars with the Sway-a-ways, I cranked them entirely too much, went wheeling, and found that my steering was loose as hell, and not aligned. I also discovered that my truck was pulling to one side. I took it to a shop, and they advised that my Pitman and idler arms as well as my upper and lower ball joints were all shot. Yikes! So I went to the Auto Hobby Shop on base. I replaced all of them, and installed a idler arm brace as well. After all this, I still had to get an alignment at the local Les Schwab. I learned my lesson. I am sure that there are many more lessons to follow!:pat:

I have never broken anything, just messed up a bunch of stuff.
1. Passenger side door
2. Front Bumper and Valance
3. 2 passenger side Fenders
4. One set of Stainless Steel Rocker panels
5. One Rear Bumper
All from offroading, It wasn't my fault. The trails I went to were very muddy and slippery, I get a discount from the guy that does my body work now haha. He does it very cheap and the parts for my truck are easy. I got all of that fixed for around 800 bucks!

I have broken lots of things on the trail. every thing from motor mount to t-case mounts to axels. but I think the worst was when i crack my frame rail into two parts. that wasn't fun to fix ad i get rid of that runner not long after that.

Didn't break it, more like "lost" it. One Red 1980 SR5 Shortbox less than a week old. It was around 10F and the beach was frozen solid to the waterline in the morning. On the way back in the 35Fafternoon I sailed into what was later called quicksand and sank to the frame at the waterline with an incoming tide. The little 20R just ran out of steam. By the time the tow truck got there and strung enough cable, waves were breaking over the top of the cab and into the bed. I didn't know the guy taking pictures was with the local paper so to add insult it was on the front page the next day. He might as well have put the title "Doofus buries new truck in quicksand." It was totalled out from saltwater damage.
