What do you think of doestch-tech shocks?

I have a first gen 4runner and am in dire need of some shocks I have heard good things about doestch tech, but don't want to go through with it til I know more. I was told my bilstien resivours could be rebuilt, but I don't know about the valving. Additionaly I have a V8 in the front and I'm not sure if some compensation is required.

I have them in the rear. They're ok, but I'm definetly gonna switch them out sometime. From my experience they unload to harshly. After going over a bump or something you feel like the backend is going to rocket off the ground. I'm probably going to switch over to Old Man Emu.

i have a set in the rear, they are a little soft i think. i prefer a little more dampening. im going to move up to some 5150 bilsteins soon, you have to change the upper shock mount location/type to run them since they are eye/eye mounts though. they dont make the 5150s in eye/stud like the stock ones.

hey deznoches-
how come you couldn't make our trip this last weekend? We would have liked to see another 1st gen out there.Maybe next local trip, something close in Alpine is cool.
Oh yeah, about the shocks,I'm pretty close with Rick Doetsch and I don't run them.

Hey Bruce thanks for the info! I'm looking into upgrading my suspension (shocks/struts) and will steer clear of DT.
