well i was speaking of staying within your budget, but yes that would do if you had the cash around to do it. regardless, whatever you get will turn out great im sure

you could do a 2nd gen just like that and still have money left over

How is that thing doing btw...?

Has he gotten everything running/working and does it drive straght yet? And every time I see that thing I start to drool... How did he get a snorkel???

Save your money.
Get a locker or TruTrac and go have some fun.
You can spend a lot of time thinking about what you could do if you only had a (fill in blank here).
I did a lot of wheeling in a 2wd Toy pickup. When I couldn't go any further, I stopped and hiked. Take what you have and find a dirt road or trail and take it. You'll find that your 4Runner is verrrry capable and it has one other advantage....

You know how the owner has treated it.
