What is it?

Hey Gang;
Old guy has no idea what this is. (Or where it came from!) Any ideas? Love my 99 Limited; especially the multi-mode 4wd/awd. With real snow tires on it does super in snow and ice; handy here in the Pacific Northwest. Did the timing belt, water pump a few years ago thanks to a write up on this site. Very satisfying to have it fire up perfectly after doing that. Thanks for your help!

Looks like an Idle air control motor (IAC) Similar to one I have seen on a Honda 4 cylinder

at a guess.... the two ports are for coolant to heat up a temperature relative idle speed adjustment, and the electrical connector is for the computer to adjust it further.

great responses

Thanks for the great idea's. Referencing the size was a "duh" I should have done. We did have a junker Honda here a while back, I think that's the right track.
