Weird starting problems...

Hey all,

Here recently, my starter on my 92 (I think it's my starter) has been doing two things.

1) When cold started, it has to crank more (which I consider normal). However, while cranking, it will act like it's about to turn over, then keep cranking. Does this make sense? In other words, if it's making that cranking noise once or twice per second, it will speed up tremendously like it is about to catch, then choke and keep cranking. It usually works fine after I let off the key and try again. Does this sound like my starter or maybe my cold start injector?

2) When starting when the engine is warm (at normal operating temp), the engine will start fine, however where my 2000 4Runner "roars" to life by going up to about 1200 RPMs and then immediately back to idle, my 92 just goes right to 500 and makes a high-pitched moaning sound that stops right the starting process stops. It's really wimpy sounding. Sometimes the engine won't even get to 500, it'll just hang at around 250 until I give it some gas. I'll try to get a sound clip of this if possible.

Thanks for all the input in advance!
