Here in the fab world, we always put that big, little word in front of the weight on our CAD drawings, "estimated" weight, and then in the shop they pick it up with one of the big boy cranes and tell us exactly what that sucker weighs. It is sometimes "funny" to see how bad estimating and reality differ, but not if it was my estimate. :pat:

My 2nd gen tip the scales at 5100 2yrs ago when I weighed it.
Me (160 at the time),
subs (100lbs),
amps (50lbs),
4 batteries (320lbs),
wood (250lbs),
1/2 tank gas (64lbs)
gear (20lbs)
After all that is subtracted I get a curb weight of 4136.
Going to SBN I had double the batteries and much heavier amps, so Im estimating that 2hr drive I had about a 5600lb 4runner...lol
Registration slip has a weight of 3986lbs listed and I need to go get it weighed now, with the much smaller, but more potient, system.

. If I relied on the estimate my drafter gives me, man, I'd be losing money. But I design things that weigh about 200 tons, so being off by a little bit is actually quite a bit.
.I'm still sticking to my original thinking of 4000-4400 range.
