What is happening is that the bottom and/or the edge of your vent visors is being hit by the window on the way up.

What I did was to fold up some paper, wedge it under the vent visor and let it sit there for about 48 hours. This put enough pressure on the vent visor and the weather strip to allow for some space for the window. Never had a problem since.

Thanks Bob!
I'll give it a try over the weekend.
I just realized that was my first post. All the info on this site is so complete, I guess I've just never had to ask anything. Just want to say you guys rock!

Hey Salue

If they are easy to take them off and put them on another 4runner, Can I borrow them????

HAHAHHA

Your 1994 looks very similar to my '95.

Do you think that the weathertech will match up with my sunroof deflector?

Thanks,

Mike

I can't really tell from the pic but is your sunroof deflector tinted? My vent visors aren't tinted, but I don't think they are clear either, but pretty close to clear. Our rigs are very similar..Do you have 4.88 in the axles?

Yes, I'll let you borrow them..I'll just charge you the shipping, which is approximately $125

Do these weathertechs have tinting?

Hey Salue,

My sunroof deflector is tinted. I think it has faded a little.

Does weathertech make tinted ones or are they just a very slight tint.

It sounds like yours only have a slight tint.

Yep, I believe I also have 4.88's in the axles. Thats according to the door code.

That shippings a little high Salue...... I think weathertech charges 9 bucks. Oh thats the handling see, correct?

I may just put in a call to weathertech and see what they say about the tinting!

Thanks YOTA RUNNERS!

anyone else have this problem? I've been considering getting the weathertech visor's, but would probably not get them if they cause this problem.

Question for Jason B.......

Jason,

I would wager that those are Weathertech, correct????

It looks like the tinting matches.....

What type of sunroof visor is that???

Thanks for the pic!

Mike

Ps. Someday I might be able to get those nice looking cosmetic mods you have....

WHY WOULD YOU HAVE TO REMOVE THE VENTVISOR AFTER ITS INSTALLED??????

Question Are the weathertech solid with the window down?

Are the weathertech's solid with the window down????

In other words when the windows are down do they flap around?

Do the rear ones have adhesive tape on them?

I almost ready to order them......

Thanks,

Mike

Hey Mike,
they don't flap around at all when I'm driving with the windows down. As far as the rears, I think there was a little strip of adhesive that I had to peel off and it is supposed to help keep it in place until it settles in there. It's not 3M or anything just some adhesive right on the top of the visor, the part that slides into the channel. I think that if you do purchase these, you will not be disappointed.

And remember my offer to give you mine for free still stands. You just gotta pay the shipping & handling

any problems with the windows rolling up?

Hey salue,

No problems with the windows rolling up?

How about lining them up. I see a bunch of Ventvisor people running around that have installed them slightly off. One side higher then the next.....

Thanks,

Mike

No problems with them rolling up...... and I don't think it's tough to get them straight, just leave the windows closed for a little while(a day or so) so that they don't move on you later.
