Warning:4Runner fog lights from Perf. Prod.

I bought the Performance Prod. 4Runner oem fog light kit for $99 and installed it back in Jan. The right side went out last week and I finally got to look at it today. I pulled off the rubber cover and the inside was loaded with grime and gunk. I pulled off the left(still working) side and water poured out of it. That rubber cover is a p.o.s and doesn't keep anything out! I should've payed twice as much and got factory fogs.
Anyone else with this problem?

Yeah I have mixed feelings on PP...some products and services I'm just not sure about with them.

funny......I installed 12 dollar lights from harbor freight a few years back in those holes and they work fine for extra light.
I bought 2 sets and use the second for bulbs abd parts.

I remove the stock light baffles for a burst of light! Kenny S>

My original set of fogs for my 3rd gen which I bought from PP about 5 years ago corroded quickly. I contacted Hella about 6 months later and they said that the kit they made for Toyota, manufactured to Toyota's specs, were garbage. They sent me a replacement pair of lamp housings which are still doing fine. IMHO, Hella may no longer provide that kind of support due to the high failure rate's

Thanks Rick F., I'll contact Hella and see what they say.
