Hi guys. Perhaps a dumb question but I need to know ---- I have a 93 Runner and want to get a 97 or 98. Are the 97 and 98 4Runners EXACTLY like the 2000 4Runner? I had a 2000 4Runner and loved it. I don't want to pay what a used 2000 is going for but I sure like the looks of the 97 and 98 4Runners that are in here. So, help me guys. Will the 97 be EXACTLY like my 2000 was in every way? --- Height, power, ride, etc. ??? Thanks fellas.

There were some minor cosmetic changes from the 96-98 models to the 99-00 models. The interior controls are a little different. The front bumper is a little different. Headlights are different. Flares are a little different. Mechanically, they are the same (aside from the full-time 4WD system they added in 99, but that was only on the Limited models)
