I just got a '01 Tacoma and I decided to get a vortex muffler. I got one from the trusty http://www.burtmanindustries.com for about $100. I was a little hesitatant because everyone has it on the 4runners but I didnt know anyone who had it on a Tacoma. Needless to say, the muffler sounds great (like a deep toaned V8). The interior is a bit loud but its a price to pay for the great exterior sound. IMO the muffler isnt too loud but others think differently.

Nice. I agree, that is how I feel about my Vortex muffler, too. Not too loud for me and the wife has not complained, either...
