Vibration in front end

Vibration in front end
My 97 4runner has a slight vibration in the front end. The drive lines seem fine (no slop) but the front drive shafts have some slop (maybe 1/8") right where the drive shafts come out of the front differential (or whatever that thing is called in IFS rigs). Is this normal? There doesn't seem to be any play in the front wheel bearings.
