AT vent question

AT vent question
Two questions actually:
1. Tundra, Sequoia and V8 4 runner with AT - is the dip stick the vent or is there a seperate one?
2. If the dip stick is for venting, why is there a o-ring tat the top of the dip stick? From the "poping" sound when I take out the dip stick there seems to be a good seal there. Something doesn't make sense.
