well, i thought i posted this a couple days ago, but i guess i didn't submeit it. But anyway, I have a 94 22RE and I want to swap it out for a V6. I have a buddy who builds rockcrawlers, so he can help me out. I was just wondering where to get it (remanufactured, junkyard, etc.) and how much it would cost me, just a ballpark figure. Also, I think it fits right in, I don't need to screw with the tranny or anything, right? What else might I need? And can I get sell my 22RE to anyone, and how? Thanks for all the help. Are you wanting to swap in the 3.0 or the 3.4?

 

well, i think the 3.0 3vze, just because it will drop right in, right? I don't think the 3.4 will be a straight swap (correct me if i'm wrong).

 

Im pretty sure the 3.0 would not be a direct swap, and even if it was I dont think it would be worth the time or effort to do it since I have heard many people say they would rather have the 22re than a 3.0. The 3.4 on the other hand would be worth, not sure how hard it would be but off road sollutions is working a kit to swap the 3.4 in place of a 22re.
