v6 ranger vs. v6 tacoma????

Just curious, who would win a race in the 1/4 mile. A 2001 v6 4.0 4x4 auto extended cab ranger or a 2004 3.4 v6 4x4 trd 5sp. extended cab tacoma?? The ranger comes with 207 hp. and 245 tq. I raced my buddies truck with my 4runner and he was berely pulling on me.

Actually its a pretty even match, DOHC really helps the taco vs SOHC of the ranger. The taco is only slightly faster..but it weighs more

Is there really any point to drag racing a 4x4 truck?

good point, but i guess if it's all ya got, then go for it. just try not to tear anything up, as that is the worst way to end a fun day at the strip...

screw those ford 4.0's SOHC, poor gas mileage, barely any more power or torque then the 5vz, which is lighter, more economic, more durable, and more buildable.

well hes had it for 2 years and its over 100,000. the only problems he's had was a waterpump right when he got it. Thats also his dd. I'm thinkin i have the advantage but idk. well just have to find out... not that i can lock my rear : ) He says the ranger gets about 12 mpg if hes lucky.
