Using chrome 97 4runner bumper as a ground

I bought thoes lights from the great deal over at jeepin outfitters. They use a internal ground to the mounting bracket. I was wondering if I could ground the lights to my 97 chrome bumper? I know in car audio chrome isnt the best ground, but at this point I dont got much choice. Got any ideas?

you could put a eye terminal under the base of the light and run that wire to a good frame ground

I don't see any problem with it either...
Just make sure to prep the area by sanding and paint after making the connection to prevent rust.

Just a thought, but if the bumper is connected to the frame with those energy absorbing cushions, there may not be a good connection to frame ground. Running a wire back along the harness to a good frame ground may not be a bad idea. Might save on weird intermittant problems down the road.

I orginaly figured that. I used to have driving lights, and the harness is already run. I was thinking that I just connect up the wires.
