Question Use an 03+ MAF in a 2000 4runner?

I need to replace my MAF sensor.

I misread the numbers when ordering a part and now have the MAF from an 03+ 4runner (part#22204-22010) instead of what is listed for my 2000 4runner (part# 22204-21010). They *appear* to be the same thing. But of course I assume they probably really are different (otherwise, why would toyota make a new one).

Anyway, I was wondering if any of you might know if these two parts are interchangable.

Thanks in advance for your response.

I'll be eagerly awaiting the info... with my car torn apart :-)

I don't know for certain, but would assume NO. Those are completely different motors: 3.4 V6 to 4.0 V6

If it were the same part, then it would have the same part # too. Best to you!

Yeah, that's what I figured. I just cleaned my old one and it made a world of difference. So, I guess i'll be putting the other part on ebay. Thanks.
