I am waiting for a reply from Joey to see what would be ok to ship to him. I'm sure he would appreciate letters too. I have looked on a few websites for suggestions on care packages.

This thread is an example of one of the many reasons why i love this board. can you see a post like this over at 4x4 or POR? I am glad that i started this thread!! I am also glad to hear that Joey is ok!!

When ever I watch the war on t.v. i wonder how heis getting on, it must be an odd feeling for him doing what he loves and has been trained for but it must also be scary as hell too.

You guy's are making my day !!!!! Not only have I had the pleasure of having a son like Joey, who has always made me a very proud mom. But to also be given the opportunity to see others feel this way too..... well, Thank-you.

I have been hearing from him on a fairly regular basis, which is a great relief to me. He assures me he is just fine-----I did not find out until this week-end that he is flying over--where I don't want him to be---
I reassure myself with the thoughts that Joey is where he wants to be....He is awesome at his job....and I'm damn glad it's guy's like him that are over there kicking butt ...
As for "care packages" .....the only suggestions he has given----letter's letter's letter's, and reading material, international phone cards. Thanks again , Leslie

All I can say is wow!! You guys are great. Please do not forget that there are several members on the board here in the military that I am sure are being deployed as well. For those wondering I listen to Classic Rock mostly. Like the new stuff as well. Linkin Park, Creed ect... Mpulver thanks alot.. I will continue to try and check in here when I can..
