tyres after 1" body lift

Hi Y'all

I just ordered a 1" body lift for my 1990 Hilux Surf from Roger Brown and was just wondering what are the largest tyres i can fit on Toy SR5 wheels! I'd like to pur 33"s on. Do you think this is possible or would i need bigger rims?

No clue, but I love how Brits and the Irish spell "tyres".

Here's a link to a Suspension Round Up Corey put together. At the bottom of the page is a link to some lift/tire size info.

Hope that helps!

You can fit 33's, but they won't be 12.50's or anything. The width will probably be in the 9.50-10.50 inch range.

well from my experience no you cant put 33's on your rig.. you might be able to do some pavement pounding but thats about it... i have a 3 inch body with downey hd rear coils and the front is cranked a hair..i did run 33's with stock lift but needless to say i had lots of rub and i mean lots... but even with my 3 inch body and 2 inch suspension with t bars vcranked a hair i still get rub when out crawling around.. like when i full articulate i get some rub..although i still have my running boards and i have bushwackers and rear flapes still and some gap gaurds..would i do a 3inch body again.. yes for the simple reason of when i do the SAS conversion i can still use the 3 inch body... just like you can with any body lift but not if its suspension lifts...

Here's how to fit 33x12.5 onto a 89 truck and the truck should be pretty darn close to a 4runner: http://www.brian894x4.com/33INCHTIRES.html

Here's how to fit 33x9.5 onto a 1st gen 4runner:

Jayzuz!

After lookin at that post thers no way im sticking 33"s on my stock rims. They look like bicycle wheels. Think i'd need new rims if i was to do it. Might consider 32"s, might not be so bad. Thanks for all the info guys! Happy Patricks Day!

For safety reasons, I would suggest staying 10.5" or narrower on the section width if the wheel is a 15x7 or if you want to put wider tires (11.5's+) I'd bump up to an 15x8 wheel.
