Question turning noises?

when the truck is not fully warm, the steering wheel is very hard to turn. why?

during turns i hear whining and squealing, more obvious now since the temps are cooler.
why?

Sounds like the power sterring pump is going out. The whine is from the fluid not being warm and it is too thick to move through the pump. Mine does it only on really cold mornings.

Sounds like low/bad power steering fluid to me, but I'm no expert. Good Luck.
