TSL's Around Town?

Hey guys, I just pickup some Super Swamper TSL's for my 1997 SR5. What should I keep tire pressure at to drive around town. I want to get used to the tires for a week before I wheel them.

Find the max pressure listed on the sidewall, then air themup 5-8psi lower than that. Then do the chalk test, take a piece of chalk and draw a line across the width of the tire, then drive a about 100 feet in a straight line.

See where the chalk rubs off, if its totally even along the tread its inflated right.

Yep, what the other guys said about using chalk.

I have TSL's on my '85 shortbed pickup. I have been running them around 18 psi to get even wear. A little less in the back.

Your 4runner is heavier than my pickup but it will kind of give you a ballpark where it may end up close to.

depending on how big of a tire (wide) our talking its unlikely that at close to full side wall rateing youll see even wear. (yota's just dont weight enough)

side wall inflation is generally "at max load"
