trouble getting knob off 5sp shifter

Ive tried to unscrew it and it appears thats not the answer since it twists up... are these pressed on or glued on? My old 911s needed to be pressed off, are these the same?

Thanks
Harold

not sure about 3rd gens. but every other toyota is lefty loosey. if its never been taken off it may take a little more pressure then it feels like it should.

mine is a twist off. you might need to put more pressure than you think. I have a 98 sr5.

Alright. It felt like the top was twisting more than the bottom. I didnt want to break it but, if it twists I'll just crank it as hard as I can next try.

Thanks
Harold
