trd supercharger

So new to the site (hey everyone!!) and soon to be a toy owner, do to a change in job I get to trade in my F350 for a real truck. I'm going to look at a 99 trd tacoma and wondered if this is a good move, are there any known problems with the superchargers on these things and in general is this a good year to be looking at and what possible problems should I be looking for.
Thanks for the info in advance looks like an awesome site and can't wait to take a better look at all of it!

99 Tacomas rock...

I got my 99 4x4 3.4L TRD Taco with 75k miles and crashed it into a wall with 245k miles. 100 k miles or more were put on in Mexico and 50k or more on dirt roads and trails. I changed the clutch once, brakes twice and the power steering twice. Those trucks are invincible. Sunk it in a river once for a few hours. When I got pulled out, I let it dry for 2 hours and drove from north of Phoenix to San Diego. Next day my mechanic checked it out... it needed a new airfilter and a diffy fluid change. That was it... even the stereo worked fine. I'll post pics once I figure out how.

Cheers,

Mr. Sonora

Thanks for that link Jay, I guess the next question is going to be, has anyone out there done the urd kit and is it an easy backyard mechanic kind of thing? Also is there anything not included in the fuel upgrade kit that should be put in at the same time(gauges?)
Appreciate any help anyone can give me.

Yeah lots of us have installed URD kits. The URD instructions are very good.

Here's another good link for you:

The search feature will come in handy too.
