URD fuel upgrade kit is a NECESSITY for the TRD supercharger despite what toyota claims. also, the extra work of installing the SC twice is not all that convenient either. Fuel pump, injectors (these are the only thing required to remove the SC), spark plugs and an hour of soldering the FTC unit is worth everything. No check engine lights, no hassle and awesome performance, you won't be dissapointed!

Getting 227 hp at the wheels with my 4wd taco thanks to URD. (also have alcohol injection, DT headers and 2.5" exhaust and a 2.2" URD pulley which helps)

Getting 8.09psi of boost vs. the 6psi on the stock pulley.

But at a bare minimum, do the URD kit at the same time as the SC install it's worth it

Not enough oil, or why did they fail at 52K?

Methanol?

Who is running methanol with the TRD setup on a 3.4? Just curious that there seems to be so few search results with anyone running a progressive methanol setup with the 3.4 SC setup. I have a Buick GN that I run 26# of boost with 97 pump gas, and the meth lowers the intake air temp and raises the octane enough to thwart any detonation or spark knock. It is MAF (manifold air pressure) driven, so it is easy to setup and tune. I go through about a gallon of meth for every two gas tank fills, and I dont have a light foot with the car. I have found a few mentions of it, but I am surprised that so few are using it since it is a fantastic low-cost solution to the under fueling problem. Any opinions?

I run 50/50 meth/water injection (Aquamist 2D). It was highly recommended by URD for the smallest pulleys (2.1 & 2.0). They said not to use less than a 2.2" pulley without it. With aggressive driving (like in the mountains) I need to fill up my washer bottle every time I get gas. With slow driving around town I just top it off every fill up.

Yeah, methanol/water injection is the way to go; awesome gas mileage improvement and more power plus reduced emissions, engine cleaning (from the dH2O) and not that expensive. Also makes a safer engine if you're running any significant amount of boost.
