TRD Header Install on 99 Runner

I am considering buying some "used" trd headers for my 99 3.4 L auto 4 runner. I am wondering about whether or not this will be a direct bolt on or require some cutting / welding. I looked up the part on-line and found this under the install notes:

'99-'02 (LEV). Installation requires welding and cutting.
99-02 4runner LEV, 2000-02 Tundra V6, 99-2004 CA specTacoma, 4WD 2000-04 Tacoma,

I have a 99 with a single cat - federal emissions. I am not sure what the notes mean by LEV vs. (LEV). Anybody installed these on the same setup as me or know what LEV means? I am assuming that (LEV) means "non" Vs. LEV as having it. Any help is appreciated as I can pick these up pretty cheaply.

It should be a bolt on affair but doesn't work that way. Headers on the 3.4 are a PITA to say the least. Search here for a post by midiwall at least a few years old on how difficult the install is. He's also posted on many threads about cost/benefit and it only makes sense barely if you're blown, which you are.

Noliwan has the TRD headers and all the goodies for the s/c so maybe he can give you more relevant advice/thoughts on the headers. Good luck...

Thanks guys. I actually just did a search on here and think I found my anwser. Turns out LEV is "low emissions vehicle". Mine having a single cat is non-lev which looks like it will require some welding and cutting. The headers have never been installed and are still new in the box. The guy who ordered them has a prado and turns out the exhaust is routed differently. Thanks!

From what I understand, the LEV (ie: 2 cats) vehicles need welding and cutting. The others with a single cat are bolt-on ready!!
