TRD exhaust install in 2000 4Runner

Hi all,

I'm about to install my TRD exhaust.
Is the procedure pretty straight forward???
Is there anything I should watch out for???
Are there bolts to be removed???
What's the best way to remove them, since
I'm sure they are rusted and maybe burned.

Any advise/tips would be great,

thanks,

maguirre

I would start off by soaking all bolts with pb blaster for a couple of days before you start. Being from NYC I'm sure they use a lot of salt on the roads in the winter as they do here, so there are bound to be some rusted bolts on there. I have never installed a TRD exaust before so I cannot comment of fit and such.

Good luck and post some pics when your done.

i definately agree with the soaking of pb blaster for the bolts. when i installed my tjm, i had to remove the factory tow hook, and it was on there so good/semi rusted, that i was unable to just loosen it up with the breaker bar, and ended up rounding off the head, and had to take it to meineke and they used an air powered socket. so definately soak the bolts. im sure there are a few u have to remove.

definately post some pics. and i have NO experience whatsoever, but id assume since trd makes it, its pretty straight forward. the s/c install isnt too bad. its made for ur runner, it should fit nicely.
