just a quick Q for you fellers. Would a set of TDR bilstien shocks off of a 06 Tacoma work for my 99 4Runner?

 

dont think they will why not just buy some ?

 

no some guy down the street here just put a lift in his truck and is offloading a set for a good price. only 2000kms on them so I'm just wondering if they'd work in my truck.

 

are the TRD bilsteins the same as the normal bilsteins?

Or

Is there some different valving.

 

The shocks will not fit. Wrong body style. 96->02 4runner are interchangeable with 96->04 tacoma.

A quick question do all TRD come with Bilstiens?

 

I think the new ones do yes. the older modles came with tokiko's
I may be wrong on this....but I don't think so

 

In the Tacoma, 01-04 Double cab's came with Tokiko's, the Xtracabs came with TRD Bilsteins. In the '05+ Tacoma's, all TRD models get Bilstein shocks.

 

Ok I have a 04 Double Cab..And looking under it they do not look like Bilstiens...Are Tokikos any good?They seem to be very rough and stiff..I am looking for a shock for towing a Boat (small boat) comfortable ride and a lil off roading..Sorry to have jack someone elses thread..
