Any one have any idea what the transmission code is on my 94 4runner manual? Any idea where I can find transmission codes for other Toyota transmissions.

 

You can find the code on the sticker in the doorjam on the drivers side. If it's auto it should be an a340h. It will be the second group of numbers/letters after the A/TM code. As far as in a junk yard I have no idea, I know a lot of Toyota bell housings have the engine codes on them, but I think it's a crap shoot otherwise.

 

Autozone has online maintenance manuals, through autozone.com then repair info and that will identify the possible transmissions, then you just have to look at the tranny to see what it is.
