holy crap - autolite plugs with tape on them? that, i would seriously think, was your problem.

yes, it runs like a top now. i got it up to about 75 last night and all was well, thankfully. plus, on bottom end there's no hesitation like there was once. i'm going out of town this weekend, so i can check out how it does at higher speeds consistently. i think this solved it tho! thanks to all.

lol i would cuss out the person who had it before you.. autolite plugs and tape around the coil pack?? lol man... yeah someone would get an ear full i dont care who it was...

yea it looked pretty redneck man. i'm just thankful that it was a relatively minor fix. of course i say that now and this weekend it will probably blow up or something but my fingers are crossed.
