Tranny Fluid Drain/Refill?

Need some advice on this:

Going to change out the auto tranny fluid on my '92 truck. I bought the FIPG gasket seal from Toyota today (12 bucks!) but the parts guy insisted on telling me there is no filter or other gaskets in the tranny that need to be replaced, just a screen that needs to be cleaned. I've checked online at other parts houses and they sell a complete gasket kit (2 gaskets, and a new filter/screen assembly). I'd like to find out which one to go with before I start taking the pan off. Anyone got any ideas on which route I should go on a '92 auto tranny with a 3.0?

-Also, I think I've seen a write-up in the past on the best way to drain all 12 quarts or so (torque converter, cooling lines, radiator, etc.) Just can't find that link any more. Anyone know where it's at or how to do it. I plan on refilling with Mobil 1 synth.

Shawn, If you want to go with the full drain and fill then you are better off if you have a full flush done by someone. It takes the right equipment and know how. As for the gaskets and filter and screen on your 92 I would replace them. On my 01 the book say's there is no need to replace any of it except the DPG and I haven't even replaced that the last two times I drained mine. It is a crush gasket and should be replaced but I have had no problems. I'll replace mine next time...maybe,Lol. Mike
