Traded in the 2nd gen for a 3rd gen
Hey guys, just wanted to let everybody know that last night I traded in my 93 4Runner SR5 V6 with 93K miles, 4" Superlift, 33"Truxxs, 4.88s (factory), custom sliders, K&N intake kit.
I got myself a 99 4Runner SR5 3.4 V6 auto and the rear locker. The ride is vastly improved as well as the power. Hopefully gas milage will go up as well. It's not as high as the 93, but with some good tires I should be just fine with the factory rear locker.
I'll post pics tonight when I get off of work. It'll be about 2pm MST.

It has 130,000 miles on it, but the interior and the body don't show it. Price was 12,500, not to bad IMO.
Pics will be up of the 93 and the 99 once I get off of work.

I just did the same thing. On thursday i picked up a 99 limited with the rear locker. It has 60k miles. The difference between the 2nd and 3rd gens are amazing for ride and performance. Im waiting for it to stop raining so I can get some pics of it next to my 92 before i sell it.

Hey! Don't hate just because he has a locker. I love my stock 3rd gen!

The difference between the 2nd and 3rd gen is amazing!! The handling, ride and power is all so much better...and I guarantee that you will get much better gas mileage. Right now I am averaging about 18mpg, thats with a mix of highway and city driving. The highest I've gotten was 20 with all highway miles...I almost crapped my pants, I've never gotten that kinda mileage before!!! LoL.
Happy for ya man, I'm sure your sad to see your 2nd genner go, as am I...but its still sittin outside so I'm not too sad yet!
Have fun and lets see some pics!
