tps or O2 sensor??

Why is my idle all jumpy? I have cleaned the throttle body so I know its not that. And I can't seem to find anything on the TPS for a 3.0. Every search I have looked at has info on the 22re engine. Where is the TPS on the 3.0? The idle jumps mostly at start-up, from 800 rpms to 2000, always eratic. Not the smooth cold start idle either. Perhaps the Oxegen sensors? Any ideas??

There should be a write-up on it in the Tech section, if not there are a lot of people on here that have done it. I had mine cleaned when mine was in the shop because they said they wouldn't charge me so I just went ahead and had it done.

Good luck man,

Fink

TPS testing and adjustment for 4- and 6-cyl engines. Hint, the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) is on the TB (Throttle Body) as it senses how far open (or not) the throttle is.

Try adjusting the main idle speed down. Mine did that after I cleaned my throttle body, and I adjusted the screw. Then it idled fine.
