Gotta be a faulty filter or you left the old gasket on. Remove it, go back and get a new one imho.

I have always changed my oil and not once did this happen to me. You sure you didnt cross thread the filter on?

Just offering up suggestions since we cant see it..

Please do your engine a favor and dont use fram. lol. It sounds like a faulty filter.

I'd bet when you change it, the leak will be gone.

The only time I ever had one leak was when an idiot at a jiffy lube cross threaded the filter on the shaft.

It took me 5 years to get filters to screw on right after that. I could have killed him.

Anyway, I always tighten the hell out of my filters with my hand and just deal with it when I do the next change. I have big hands so I can get it really tight sometimes. I have this little "vise grip" oil filter wrench that I use to break them loose. I got it at harbor freight and it works really well.

Good luck with it and post pics of the filter when you get it off...
