Toyota fuel filter

would anyone happen to know where the fuel filter would be located on a 1984 Toyota Pickup, 4WD, 22R, manuel transmission. I just cant seem to locate it. Thanks

I do believe it is under the intake manifold on those trucks. Very hard to get to.

If it is carb then it is near the top of the gas tank with a little bracket with two hoses on it. If it is FI then like he said, under the intake.

yeah he's right... i just replaced the FF on my 85' more than likely urs will be right above the gas tank.. its kind of a pain to get to... mines was also carb. but carb or no carb i wld check there anyway... i spent a whole hour looking for it then finally found the little pain in the ass.. so check that area just to be on the safe side

as said above, if it is carbureted, the filter is held in a spring clip above the frame rail next to the gas tank, on the passengers side. If my gas tank is very full I usually take a small pair of needle nose vise grips and pinch off the "tank" side of the line to prevent siphoning. These filters are a lot easier to change on the long bed/frame models, you've got more room to manuever.
