Topeka KS Lewis Toyota Dealership Help!!

Well, the sound that we couldn't diagnose in my sister's 01 4Runner has lead to her being stuck on I-70 just outside of Topeka KS. She's having towed via AAA to the Toyota Dealership right now.

Does anyone on here work there, or know anybody there? It's my sister and her friend, and I want to make sure they don't take advantage of 2 women!

I am not 100% sure its the tranny, no fluid loss, clean fluid smell/look, just no movement when rpm's increase, in ANY GEARS.

PLease help a fellow Runner owner!!

Give me a call preferably(about to leave for a while) 303-888-4622 if you know of anybody, or you can post/pm as well.

Thanks in advamce guys....hopefully someone chimes in!!

Brett

Well, they said they wouldn't know what exactly went wrong until they take it apart. It has just over 103k on it, and warranty till 100k...dealer says they can't help her out. We'll write a letter, and try to get some money back, but who knows. It really sucks, because I know I can source a used one much cheaper, and do the work myself. But, the trucks in KS and I'm in CO. We'll see....and I will deff keep you posted.

Its all been done at Boulder Toyota, but it was bought at the same dealer in KS that it's at right now. She asked, and they said no...I called here, and they said no. So, we'll write a long letter, and hope something comes through!!

has she tried calling tec herself?call the toyota customer assistance #,be very polite, explain the situation, stress that the service has been kept up on the veh & that she has other family members like yourself that yotas.Does someone in the emediate family happen to own a Lexus?if so be sure to mention.when the big L talks yota listens.customer assistance cant override the dealer, however they can contact the dealer on your behlf, maybe some assistance there.I work at a dealer so i know how to play the game-just remember no matter sometimes ur the w/shld-sometimes the bug good luck-if u need their # i can get at wrk tomorrow
