Too Good To Be True???

Unbelievable deal? I've got an opportunity to buy 4 brand new TRD wheels (16x8) with 4 brand new BFG's A/T KO's for $1,100.00. Is that a good deal or what? Any reason why I shouldn't go with those wheels? I've got a 2002 SR5 4Runner 4X4 with the stock 225/75 15" wheels. My suspension (SAW/OME) is on its way now from Xtreme Off-Road. I can hardly wait!!! Give me your two cents please...

all i know is that people have had a great challenge when attempting to balance those wheels...hopefully someone more versed on this will chime in. run a search about the 16"/TRD/Ivan Stewart Wheels.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm hesitant to go through with it now. Maybe I'll just stick with the 15 inch stock wheels and get some 32x11.50 BFG's A/T TA KO's.

Much better idea than the Ivan Stewart wheels. A friend of mine bought them as an upgrade when he bought his Tundra two years ago. After eight trips to the dealer w/o success, Toyota finally settled with him in arbitration and credited him the entire amount for the wheels & tires. He then bought the 4.7l SC, a much better TRD upgrade in all opinions!

I'm glad I asked you guys before making that purchase. Now I'll just sit back & wait for my suspension to come in. Once that's in & installed I'll go for the new rubber. 32x11.50 BFG's A/T TA KO's will fit without rubbing on my stock 15x7 inch wheels, right? I'll have the SAW's up front & OME in the rear.

With the lift I assume that you will gain at least 2". You should have no problem at all clearing 32's in the fender well. The only spot you may rub is the upper control arm with the stock offset of your wheels. Again, I am not versed on 3rd gens as many others here, but I would assume you'll have no probs clearing the tires.

It seems that even my T/A kos have a hard time getting balanced. We had to add 9ox to one rim/ tire to get it to balance out.
