Tire Sizes....
Hey all-
I can't seem to find a chart that gives, for example, 33" tires=285's or whatever. I want to go to a larger rim size and am wondering what 265x75x16 equal, if they are similare to 32's, 31x10.50xr15 or what.

Go the tire manufacturers web sites for charts. Remember that not all brands are the same size - in theory all 285/75R16s should be the same size but in reality they definitely are not... Here's a chart for example: http://www.bfgoodrichtires.com/asset...rain_ta_kd.pdf
a 265/75R16 would equate a 32x10.50

These are general sizes:
265/70R 16 = 31 X 10.50 X 16
265/75R 16 = 32 X 10.50 X 16
275/70R 16 = 31.50 X 11 X 16
285/75R 16 = 33 X 11.50 X 16
295/75R 16 = 33.50 X 12 X 16
305/70R 16 = 33 X 12.50 X 16
305/85R 16 = 36 X 11.50 X 16
315/75R 16 = 35 X 12.50 X 16
325/70R 16 = 34 X 13 X 16
325/80R 16 = 37 X 13 X 16
365/65R 16 = 35 X 14.50 X 16
265/70R 16 = 31 X 10.50 X 16
265/75R 16 = 32 X 10.50 X 16
275/70R 16 = 31.50 X 11 X 16
285/75R 16 = 33 X 11.50 X 16
295/75R 16 = 33.50 X 12 X 16
305/70R 16 = 33 X 12.50 X 16
305/85R 16 = 36 X 11.50 X 16
315/75R 16 = 35 X 12.50 X 16
325/70R 16 = 34 X 13 X 16
325/80R 16 = 37 X 13 X 16
365/65R 16 = 35 X 14.50 X 16

I'll use 285/75r16's for this example of how to do the calc yourself:
285mm=11.22in=section width
.75=aspect ratio (aspect ratio x section width = wall height)
16in=wheel OD
.75*11.22*2+16=32.83in tire OD
285mm=11.22in=section width
.75=aspect ratio (aspect ratio x section width = wall height)
16in=wheel OD
.75*11.22*2+16=32.83in tire OD

I know. let's kick my ass. hehe.
I wrote me a spreadsheet so I don't have to do the math anymore or search the web for a calc anymore.
just for the record, the 285/75/16 is just a hair larger in OD than the 305/70/16.
