I have a 2001 Tacoma 4wd xtracab, and I am in the market for new tires. I currently have the oem tires and a stock suspension, but I am lookin into possibly placing some slightly larger tires onto the tacoma. I was looking into putting on some 285/75/16 tires onto the stock rims, which is about 32.8" tall and 11.2 " wide. Would these tires fit without any problems with rubbing and stuff?

 

they will rub.. .you would need a lift of some sort to fix that....

 

how bad will they rub? what are slightly bigger tires that I can put on a 01" tacoma without them rubbing?

 

They'll rub very badly. You can put a 265/75/16 on there without any problems.

265/75/16 is hte stock size. what can i put on that is slightly larger than that.

 

265/70/16 is the stock size....Unless I've totally missed a new size of tires from Toyota.
