Tire size

Hi all my girlfriend has a 1998 4Runner 4cylinder. What is the maximum tire size that she can get for her 4runner. Any brands in mind. Can a 265/70/17 fit here 4runner?

265 is about as big as you can go. I would suggest the "flashing green button of death" , as "tire size" is probably the most frequently asked question on here. There should be loads of info for your reading pleasure.

Hope this helps!

that's what I ran too, but mine is a V6. that should be fine for the 4cyl too though. my wife had 31.5's on her 4cyl taco and all was fine, even with the bed loaded down with gear, so I'd say 265/75r16's too. I wouldn't go to 17" "rilms" though. just my opinion but a little blingy.

I ran 265/75/16's and rubbed, but they were BFG Mudders. I think that 4cyl has 15inch rims?

I thought it was optional. if it does have 15's, then darktiger you should keep that size wheel in my opinion. tires are cheaper.
