throttle sticking-help

well, problem number 2 in the past week. my 99 sr5's throttle is sticking. basically, when i push on it gets stuck about half way down about 75% of the time. if i release it part of the way and immediately push back down it sometimes lets me past the sticking point but not all the time. when i mess with the throttle cable in the engine it seems fine. i assume that it has something to do with the accelerator. has anyone experienced this problem? if not, anyone have any ideas? thanks
seth

I was thinking throttle body, but that usually causes the butterfly to stick on initial opening but you never know. Cleaning the throttle body couldn't hurt. If it's not that, I'd look for someplace the cable may be binding. There are good write-ups in the tech section on cleaning the TB.

Is it something simple like the pedal sticking to the floor mat or the pedal assembly (not sure if this is what you meant by accelerator assembly)
