Steve-

If you are asking about pitch in the context of my post above, I was referring to the side to side angle of a rig, and how it could get hung up on a out-jetting rock or similar obstacle if the vehicle was pitched one way or the other too far – if the slider mount distance was greater than 1” from the body. In other words, if the sliders are too far towards the ground, a small amount of off-camber clearance could be lost. Rare, but it could happen.

I thought he was throwing (pitching) things at us. or he meant to type "pinch" instead.

I wish I was a pilot!

Hmm, I think you are right. What the heck is pitch then? Something that oozes out of trees?

A pitch is a soccer field?

For airplanes pitch is the lengthwise angle measurement, that is, it's whether you're pointing up or down into the ground.

I say 1" BL too, but then you will be exceeding the max distance according to Darren and others. Just remember if you get the BL, your 96 will require an additional $68 for the aux body mounts (which I still have not installed :pat: ) - which will then require more welding. So keep an eye on your costs.
Do you HAVE to get those aux body mounts? Cuz I seriously think I'm leaning towards a BL now.

Damn, what am I getting myself into? A mod to fix another mod......and then another.......and then another.......

Cuz now with the BL, I'll have get bigger tires! Then with bigger tires, gearing, and since I'm gearing, I might as well throw in a locker...... Ahhh!!!!!!!

edit: So a BL would fix the problem right?

Just sell it and get your supra...then again, you'll be in the same situation with that

You dont "have" to get the body mounts. But they are a nice way to add some safety to your truck incase you get T-Boned. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO WELD THEM. Roger includes self tapping bolts that will to the job with the use of a power drill..

This is exactly my thought process too. I figure it'll cost me $4000 just for 2 lockers...cause then I might as well regear, go to 33s, BL, etc etc. *sigh*

But to avoid all that, you can just trim your pinch weld, like schaefer said.

Good luck on that one. Unless you have a right angle drill, its not gonna happen. Even then adequate power is not really available. "Tapping" into the frame is not easy with "normal" tools. I would weld them, IMO that would be easier.

I did it with a black and decker 7 hp portable drill. Drill a pilot...then tap it in. All Roger Brown approved

I think it was something called "hide and prevent". Hides rust and suposedly prevents it. It's basically black paint in a can with some rust inhibitors.
