Thinkin about selling my 95...

So I just put in new HG's and the truck is running pretty good. But its a 95 w/ 130k on it and its making me nervous. I know that sooner or later Im gonna have to throw some more(alot) money into it and I cant afford this any more. Im thinkin of selling it. The only down fall is that I still owe a good amount on it and I could only get enough to pay off the loan for it. So Im in a dilema here. Should I keep it and keep worrying about it breaking down on me, or sell it and save up some money and buy a 99-00 taco with the 4 cyl. (Im cheap and I need the gas mileage) 4x4 which would be more reliable. Maybe even something with a warranty!! Just looking for suggestions here... THanks guys.

Why are you so worried? Heck...130k is really just broken in to me. My 1987 had 227k on it before we traded it in. And the only reason we did is because the interior was getting so old and trashed by the kids.
A good 4Runner with a decent maintenance record can easily do 250k if taken care of. At least that is my 2 cents.

The only real things you have to concern yourself with are the Timing chain and the clutch. Rest is basic wear and tear, brakes, etc. And you are going to do those on any vehicle.

Agreed with above. My 91 had 175K on it when I traded it in and the only thing I had done is a water pump, an alternator and a starter. You are good to go man, don't fret. I know I wish I had my 91 instead of my 99 4cyl TRD taco.

I agree as well. If you don't punish it, you should get 250-300k miles out of it.
