My wife just purchased an '02 4Runner Limited, and I found this site. I wanted to say thanks to all the contributing members here. I have a lot to learn, but I did the same thing when I purchased my '84 Diesel Benz. I'm hoping I will be able to do some of the maintenance myself on her 4runnner as I do on my old car. We probably paid a little too much, but we were in a bad spot having to turn in a leased Nissan. It always sucks when you can't wait to find THE one. We actually went in looking for a '05 Pathfinder, but I was able to talk my wife into getting the 4runner even though it was an '02 with 80,000 miles. The only way she would go for it was to get a 3-year extended warranty on it. We paid $14K for the vehicle. I'm sure my wifes the one that most make fun of for having an SUV that stays on pavement. I think it's a waste, too, but she makes the payments. Anyway, I'm waaaay too busy to be too active of a member here, but I did want to thank all of you for the vast wealth of knowledge that has been shared here. So....Thanks all!
