Take a glimpse...JDM Hilux Surf 185s
I have always been a fan of the Hilux Surf KZN185 in Japan, otherwise known as the Toyota 4Runner here in the States. Many factory, rare to find options that were offered with their vehicles, are difficult to come by in the States, hence the name JDM.
For instance, if you closely examine the proceeding photos, you will notice the trend in Japan are spoilers. Factory option spoilers, along with factory option rain guards, which are equivalent to the McNeil Weathertech window visors that members on this forum prefer (including myself), are almost consistent on every Surf.
What some may also find awkard is the fender mirror that Japanese drivers use, I assume, for parallel parking because vehicles aboard are right hand drive. Many other options were offered, such as Recaro seats and bull bars, which will take too long to list.
Well, enough of the writing, here are the pictures for your viewing pleasure!

I wish I had a spoiler cause when I'm zooming down the highway at a rocket fast speed of 75mph, I need to keep my rear end on the ground!!! haha

I think those rain guards are that big due to the weather in Japan. A lot of snow and rain. I am still thinking about the Satoshi mod. Noticed my friend's FJ has similar lettering. Maybe next time we go camping he will be missing his TOYOTA on the grill. ha

Actually, it prevents the exhaust gases from swirling behind the truck and getting sucked back into the truck through the open back window at some speeds. I'm looking for a rear spoiler for my 22RE 1990 4Runner.

Are you looking for the thin common spoiler or the molded type? You should be able to easily find an OEM common thin spoiler at the wreckers (esp. in BC) and the OEM molded ones are a little more rare yet also can be found depending on the trim level.

The size of those flares... Is that standard or is that aftermarket???
I tried looking in other countries for parts and prices aren't that bad. I bet shipping might be a killer though.

And all in all, non can compare to the new 4.5L Twin Turbo diesel in the new Land Cruiser VX (drools). I think it is really unfair that Toyota did not put any high tech features in the american 4Runner like they did in the Hilux Surf.

Please feel free to post pictures of your own Surf or favorite Surfs you might have seen on the world wide web.
Stephenmarr, nice looking Surf. Would you happen to know if there are any of those window visors in the wreck yards over there?
